Birds

Birds, an EP by Heitech & LUI.

Drums, bass, and a very wide and evolving atmospheric palette of sounds including human voices young and not. An epic chorus. And of course, birds. Then there is a video by Tamara Manus, also the creator of the EP cover. You have to watch & listen to that video, elevates the listener to a bird's-eye view. The whole package is simple (two tracks) but the genealogy is intriguing and leaves me wanting to know more. #DnB #Breakbeat Subvert

We are two cool cats from Germany interested in bird related facts and grooves. Also we really like to move our butts to funky music. We think even bass music is allowed to have fun sometimes, especially in these dark times.

Our motivation are all the different birds with their own little songs and dances. We keep discovering new birds over YouTube and other platforms so there's always enough motivation to come by. It was produced in the box with no external hardware used. Heitech is working in Cubase, LUI is working in Bitwig. The EP is not in its final form as we wanna keep adding more tunes to it.

We wanna thank our cats: Aphex, Loco and Carlito. Thank you for not killing all the birds.

Listen to our shit! Thank you!

Alpha Synthauri

Alpha Synthauri, an album by TOMMY '86.

Classic synthwave including actual unfiltered synth waves dancing together. Some tracks are danceable, and the whole work transpires... optimism? Past future nostalgia. #synthwave #80s #space-synth Mirlo

Active since 2011, the retrosynth scene quickly took notice of TOMMY '86 for his high-quality, pulsating, Italo disco sounds. He has released several albums and EPs, dusting off the prototypical production styles of the '80s blended together with a modern touch
To create this album, I imagined my home studio as the dashboard of a small spaceship. I stepped into the shoes of a space traveler and played my synthesizers as if I were piloting my ship. Alpha Synthauri is a sort of chronicle of that space journey.

I used a PC with Ableton, an Arturia DrumBrute Impact, an Arturia MicroFreak, and a Korg Monotron Delay.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported me since the beginning of this journey, which has been going on since 2011.

My albums are musical journeys. I hope that by listening to my music, you will travel as far as I do when I compose it.
Social music recommendation: I am relatively new to fair platforms, so I haven't yet had the chance to browse for new artists on them. However, I know that Sferro is present on Subvert.fm and I highly recommend giving his music a listen. Sferro is a longtime friend. He is one of those artists who inspired me to make music.

Dreams & Riddles

Dreams & Riddles, an EP by Paul Griffin x Socool.

I imagine this smooth, polished and slightly sophisticated music as the background of a Summer night right at sub-sweat temperature, chill-out not chilly, in a place where you tried to dress up just a little bit. Streamed and mixed. #chillout #downtempo Bandwagon - Mirlo - Subvert

Written and recorded over a few months in early 2026, the release grew from a collection of sketches and experiments, including several tracks that began during Paul’s Jamuary 2026 sessions.

Ghosts Of My Time

Ghosts of my time, an album by Pölysormi.

From slightly dissonant jazzy beats to actual words by philosopher Mark Fisher, all connected with the voices of wannabe video influencers telling us that something is off and why everything feels like kind of fake. It makes you think, really. #lo-fi #downtempo #boom-bap Mirlo - Subvert

I make sample-based music. And I watch too much Youtube. I noticed a common theme in the videos I watch. I decided to make a concept album about it.
Does everything feel weird right now? Why is everything fake? People feel fake. Food is fake, air is fake, the news is fake. Something is off. You can feel it.

Hanya Holm Teaches Me How To Dance

Hanya Holm Teaches Me How to Dance, an EP by Katia Krow.

Electronic, digestible experimental, slightly noisy, overall smooth, sophisticated and more dark than not... I like it a lot, even more with my good headset to better grasp all the details and layers and textures. And is this a suite with a connecting meaning? Those titles? #indie-electronic #experimental Subvert

This EP is the third volume of Katia Krow's space-inspired serial. "Music for Bleary-Eyed Stars"

Rise Up (Eat the Rich) by Cosmic Anxiety. Some things have to said. Very good that someone sings them. Even better, some words have to be shouted, and shouted out loud they are in this song. #electropop #indie-electronic Video - Mirlo - Subvert

schade drum by warmes glas Milch. There is a growing conscious or unconscious music genre without a label yet (?) that consists of very human music that no way KI can come up with. Electropoetry. #electropop #indie-electronic Subvert

Seventh(c) by IR. Someone is onto something. I took the chance of a long car trip to play it through at high volume. Is this dense dark hard music capturing the zeitgeist of our troubled times? #dnb #industrial Subvert

P●RTªL by palmdrive. An exploration through electronic subgenres with a drive for moderate dancing, optimism maybe, and bright tones. "infinite glass" makes me wonder about its history behind, if there is any. #trance #ebm #electropop Subvert

BMBF by Sonic Walker. Classic, balanced, lukewarm electro motivated by cycling and a stray cat. Sonic Walker is a prolific artist, and if you like this sound there is more, also published recently. #electro Video - Website - Mirlo - Subvert
